Membership in the American Association of University Women (AAUW), founded in 1881, is open to anyone holding an associate or equivalent (RN), baccalaureate, or higher degree from a regionally-accredited college or university.

Student affiliation is open to anyone who does not already hold an undergraduate degree and is enrolled in a two- or four-year regionally accredited educational institution.  Students enrolled at AAUW College-University partner institutions (in Austin:  The University of Texas at Austin, St. Edward’s University and Austin Community College) are eligible for free, national e-student affiliation and can receive great AAUW benefits by filling out a simple form on the AAUW website!  If a student affiliate wants to join a state and branch, they have to pay the state and branch dues.  Once the student receives an Associate’s degree, they pay full membership dues.

AAUW National Life Membership dues  are 20 X National Dues and  are fully tax-deductible.

We also provide the option to DONATE to National and/or Local Funds when you renew your membership and specify what donations you would like to make.
